Rev. Devereaux Lloyd is the Education Pastor at South Bay Pentecostal Church and the principal of South Bay Christian Academy. Though he has been working at the same church for 28 years, he also enjoys delving into other areas of ministry. For the local sheriff's department, he has been on the Advisory Committee, a Facility Chaplain, and he has served as the Assistant Chaplain Coordinator. For the county, he has served as a Volunteer In Probation (VIP program). He currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of Christian Service Training Institute. He has degrees in Mathematics (AA), Theology (BA), Masters in Organizational Leadership (MOL), and is a Ph.D. Candidate in Leadership Studies. His passion is ministry.

Rev. Jacob Ellwood, a graduate of Christian Life College and Christian Service Training Institute, is the Family Pastor at South Bay United Pentecostal Church. He enjoys many aspects of ministry but especially loving God and loving His people. As a bivocational minister, he has spent 27 years serving the citizens of California as a public servant. He has been married for over 20 years to his wife, Sarah. Together, they are raising their four amazing children.
Rev. George Nobbs was a member of the first graduating class of CSTI (1976), some 41 years ago. He now serves as the Associate Pastor at South Bay Pentecostal Church and has been the CSTI secretary for the past umpteen years. His passion for learning and his talent for administration serve him well as he seeks to fulfill the goal of seeing CSTI become the very best it can be.
Rev. Art Hodges lll has served as Senior Pastor of South Bay Pentecostal Church since 1984. A graduate of Apostolic Bible Institute, St. Paul, MN, where he continues to serve as Adjunct Professor to 3rd & 4th year students, since 1979 he has written and taught several of the courses at CSTI. He currently serves as Superintendent for the SoCal District of the United Pentecostal Church International, and as Chairman of the Creative Planning Committee for the General Board. He sits on the Board of Directors for Tupelo Children's Mansion, and serves as Pastoral Advisor for the UPCI Church Growth Department. He speaks at numerous churches, Conferences, and meetings across North America and around the world, and brings these qualities to the ministry of CSTI. He serves as the Chancellor of CSTI.
Dr. Moehlenpah’s educational experience includes a B.S., M.S. And D.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, from Washington University and the University of Minnesota and a Th. B., Apostolic Studies, Apostolic Bible Institute. He has taught chemistry at Macalester College, Wisconsin State University, and San Joaquin Delta College. He started a church in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and pastored in High Wycombe, England and has taught for over 40 years at Gateway College of Evangelism, Conquerors Bible College, Christian Life College and Apostolic Bible Institute. Having authored books such as Creation vs Evolution, Teaching with Variety and Manage Your Money or it will Manage You, he is a tremendous asset to CSTI. Dr. Moehlenpah and his wife, Jane, host the ministry Doing Good Ministries, found at 'www.doinggood.org'. They bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the students. Dr. Moehlenpah serves as the Academic Dean of CSTI.
Dr. Daniel Butler received a BS degree in Biology from Purdue University, an MA in Biblical Studies from Vanguard University, and both MDiv and DMin degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary. He serves in the Office of Education and Endorsement for the UPCI, and he is the senior pastor at International Pentecostal Church in Bellflower, California.
We are privileged to have Dr. Butler as an adjunct faculty member, providing a wealth of information to our student body.
Dr. David Norris earned a BA in Liberal Studies from Neumann University, an MA in Theological Studies from Palmer Theological Studies, and a Ph.D. in Religion from Temple University. He has many years of experience leading and teaching apostolic ministry at the post-secondary level.
Pastor Elms began his ministry under the leadership and instructions of the late David F. Gray. After 25 years with him, he left to take over the pastorate in Los Angeles. During his tour of military duty in Washington D.C., he took two semesters of Koine Greek at the Washington Bible College. He has served the UPCI in several positions, including Presbyter in the Western District for 15 years and SoCal District Secretary for four years. He recently retired as pastor of Harvest Tabernacle in Los Angeles after forty-five years of service. We are so thankful to have him and all his years of experience in teaching and ministry training.
Pastor Ghiloni shepherds the very church in which he was saved while serving in the U.S. Navy stationed here in San Diego. A great revival swept through Upper Room Pentecostal Church and he and several other members of his Seal Team were impacted and gave their hearts to God. He is a teacher with a true pastor's heart and enriches all who come beneath his teaching.
Pastor James Davis has pastored for many years in Oceanside, CA, and is one of the longest tenured staff members of CSTI. He came aboard in the early 80's and has recently re-joined the faculty. He is a student of the Word par-excellence and an instructor second to none. His inclusion in the staff of CSTI is a tremendous addition.
Bro Davidson has been with us at CSTI for four years. He is a full time evangelist with the SoCal UPCI district. He has pastored, taught in many churches, and has been a professor of history at Gateway Bible College. Besides his work in the pulpit, he teaches church history seminars on the church level and more recently at San Diego State University.
He earned his M.A. at Bethel cum laude, specializing in Church History. His work there earned him a part in Who’s Who of American Students. His book on the Development of the Trinity has sold well with Pentecostal Publishing House, often being the top seller of the history/theology section.
He is a musician, loves children and young people, and has a sweet, wonderful wife, Nancy!
Pastor Gonzales is a noted educator and leader and Senior Pastor in the North Park area of San Diego. He is a great addition to the CSTI staff and we look forward to his great contribution.
Pastor Tom Durrance, of Truevine Pentecostal Church in Temecula, California, has been a prime mover in CSTI's expanding to include on-line access, and no doubt will be instrumental in additional progressive improvements. Having just completed a great facility expansion, he is an excellent pastor and teacher and a tremendous asset in this ministry.
Mark Stevenson pastors New Life Center in El Cajon, CA. As the grandson of one of our founders (Berl Stevenson), he brings a wealth of apostolic experience to his ministry. He is a great teacher and we are fortunate to have him aboard.
We are thrilled to have Bro. Rodriguez as a new instructor. He is a pastor new to Section One and has so wonderfully jumped in to serve the pastors and saints by joining the CSTI team.
Brother Sharp brings extensive ministerial experience, having been in pastoral leadership for many years, and he has served as a foreign missionary. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Ministry.
Pastor Lopez leads a growing congregation at Zion Christian Fellowship in Spring Valley, California. He has been raised in a Christian home his entire life, and a special call and anointing has been evident from his youth. What an exciting and enthusiastic addition to the staff is this fine man of God!
Pastor Keck served as a faculty member and officer of CSTI for many years. He recently re-located to the state of Missouri to assume a pastorate there. We retain him as a listed faculty member in the hopes that in the future he might return as an adjunct instructor. Our prayers and thanks are with Pastor Jeff Keck.
